Profile:
Dick Schaffer - Owner and charter-master for Purfield's Pro
Tackle fishing expeditions. He has personal experience
with almost every reel he sells. From Yellowtail to Tuna
to Calico Bass there are subtle differences of what you need for
your rod and reel. Dick can help you put it together.
Gil Alonzo - With approximately 50 years of local and
long range fishing experience he knows a lot about fishing Santa Monica
Bay.
As a young man he fished from the local fishing barges here in
the bay. Today he still fishes locally and overnight boats.
Gill also can help you pick the right line and spool up for your
next trip.
David Yamuri - David is in the know and talks to most of
the active and productive fishing nuts on the water.
His preferred fishing is from a Skiff in near shore waters or
from shore along the beaches up and down the Southern California
coast. Malibu beaches and Santa Monica Bay shoreline is
his beat.
Ken Awakumi- One of our top reel repair experts. Ken can
break down and rebuild your finicky reels so that they work and
perform when that big fish strikes. He can be found out on
the water fishing the Southern California coastal waters when
not in the store. Ken is a big fan of putting a big bend
on a light rod with a Calico Bass as the target species.
